TESTIMONIALS
Charley Bailey and his crew did a very good job of correcting a problem at our house. We had a crack in the foundation block and this needed repaired and stabilized to avoid further damage. Also in the crawl space underneath the house, we had wooden supports on cinder blocks which needed changed out to meet current date specifications.
Charley and his crew replaced the wooden supports with steel girders and steel jack post. Then they had to remove plants around the house to dig and drill down deep enough to put in the underpins and plates to support the weight of the house.
I was very impressed by the work done by this team! They were on time every day, they stayed on the job all day. They worked on only my job until it was completed. They repaired my yard and put my plants back. It looks as if the ground had never been disturbed, other than they sowed grass seed and put straw down. My husband and I are very pleased with Charley Bailey and his crew and we would recommend him to anyone!
Sincerely,
David & Melanie Hatcher
Since moving to the area in 2007, we have called on Charley Bailey General Contractors for jobs big and small. From water-proofing the basement to building and expanding our decks, Charley and his crew have always come through. We have at least one project every year for them. With their skills range and wide area of expertise, they have accomplished every one of them to include brick and stone work and carpentry as well as those mentioned above. Charley and his guys take great pride in their work and when they finish the job they leave everything neat, clean and back the way they found it. We will continue to call on Charley Bailey for our needs and readily recommend him to others.

Charlie Bailey Contractors completed our project September to October 2013. The scope of the project included foundation repair, waterproofing the basement, and repairing two retaining walls. I had quotes from five contractors but chose Bailey because I felt they were the most knowledgeable and had the most experience. The price and time quoted were spot on and didn't change. The staff was professional, punctual, and efficient. They found the foundation issue and quickly repaired it. My retaining walls look beautiful! I would highly recommend Charlie Bailey Contracting.

An old stone retaining wall in our backyard was falling down and pushing a support post for our second floor out of place. Needless to say, we urgently needed someone to repair this wall as soon as possible. Charlie Bailey was recommended and we are SO grateful! He came out the same day I called and gave us an estimate for replacing the 22' long, 4' high wall that had originally been built by his grandfather in 1937. The estimate was not cheap, but around here, you get what you pay for! The work was started quickly and professionally and finished within about 3 days. His crew straightened up the landscaping that had been dislodged and cleaned up well enough that I could not tell they had been here. The wall is BEAUTIFUL and still retains the old character of the prior wall because Charlie was able to incorporate many of the old stones. He was as concerned as we were about keeping the character of the wall (which is repeated all around our house and throughout the neighborhood. It is difficult to find people to do quality work around here, but Charlie is one in a million! We highly recommend him and will call him again for any future work!
We had a thoroughly outstanding experience when we had a major reconstruction of our drainage system by Charley Bailey and his skillful, hard working and invariably cheerful workers whose energy and coordination were remarkable. Charley kept us up to date as to what was going on at all stages of the operation and we particularly appreciated the many photographs which he provided us with at all stages of the operation. Not only that, but on a later occasion when our water main developed an overnight leak he responded immediately, rounded up his crew on their day off (Saturday), and promptly repaired the line! Charley had been recommended to us by a neighbor, and we in turn have made a like recommendation to a neighbor who in turn was equally impressed by his company's work. Our experiences were about a year ago, and we still talk about our satisfaction at a job well done by a company that left our property spotless on both occasions.
Most sincerely

In l993, we purchased a house off West Pea Ridge at 131 Wood Lomond Way. It was disclosed up front, that the house had a previous foundation problem in late 80’s, and supposedly was repaired. We liked the house, and purchased it anyway.
Everything was fine, until about 2010, when we started noticing a slight bow in the paneling in our basement level recreational room. Over almost two years, it gradually became worse, to the point that during hard rains we would get seepage of water under the wall. In June or July 2012, we decided that something needed to be done.
Since the project would be rather expensive, I inquired around to others who had similar problems and decided to get bids. I actually talked to and received five (5) bids from five (5) different companies. Since cost is sometimes the most important item in any contractual arrangement, I personally study, how the procedure will be accomplished; the quality of the work; the job duration; whether it’s “turn-key” or do I have to search for other sub-contractors for different project areas; and actually, I know it sounds silly, but whether I like the contractor and their work crew.
Three of the bids, were a lot less, but those well known companies only wanted to “lift” the foundation and repair, or use methods that I did not believe would work. To dig down to the foundation footers of approx. 10-ft., the contractor would have to dig up landscaping, a partial brick sidewalk, a brick porch on the outside, and remove paneling and dry wall, part of the recreation room ceiling, and change inside electrical wiring on the inside, and put everything back. Those three companies would only do foundation work, which would necessitate me to find a bricklayer, carpenter, drywall man and an electrician. That would not suffice, so left me to hire a general contractor who could “do it all”.
The other two bids were from general contractors who could “do it all”. Both were well known companies, so I called and interviewed both owners at their offices, and reviewed the project and asked a lot of questions. Bottom line, I chose Charley Bailey General Contractors.
They did everything promised, plus some additional things, in a timely manner. The work crew never used bad language, “cleaned up” any individual mess such as lunch wrappers, bottles, cans, cigarette butts each day. Also, Charley or the foreman kept me in the loop each day how the project was going. Charley is a man of character and most important a man of faith.
I am very pleased and satisfied with the finished project, and would consider him again for any additional thing I needed and have recommended him to others.
